Hello, dear Yogis!
In an effort to maintain a safe studio space, we have updated our guidelines for patrons visiting Longwave Yoga to meet the new North Carolina mask mandate. The proper wearing of masks will be required at all times while visiting the Longwave Yoga studio. We will also continue to offer live stream classes for those who prefer to practice at home. We are grateful for all of your continued support and adaptability through 2020.
Please review the guidelines below prior to your next visit to the studio. We greatly appreciate your cooperation.
Masks: Masks are required for all staff, instructors, and students throughout the duration of your visit to the building and studio. Please wear your face covering properly at all times, fully covering your nose and mouth.
Social Distancing: Once you have entered LWY, please sanitize your hands before entering the Yoga Studio. Traffic flow in and out of Longwave Yoga are controlled by 6 foot markings on the floor of the hallway and lobby. We kindly ask students to wait on a spot when arriving so one person can enter the lobby and studio space at a time. Within the studio, all practice spaces are set with a minimum 6-foot distance. After class, we will ask that one person departs at a time, honoring the 6 foot spacers.
Class Modifications: For your safety, our teachers will guide you by using verbal cues and demonstrations only. Hands-on assists will not be offered.
Mats and Yoga Props: There will not be any mat rentals or yoga props for use. Students are encouraged to bring their own mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters, and yoga straps, especially for Yin and Restorative Yoga classes. Please bring what is necessary for a safe and comfortable practice.
Cleaning Procedures: Cleanliness has always been a top priority. We will continue our increased daily deep cleaning and we have installed two HEPA air purifiers in the lobby and studio. We will also continue to offer hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes for student and staff use.
Class Booking: Prior to your class, please visit our website www.longwaveyoga.com or download the Longwave Yoga app (available in your app store) and login with your email address and password. All students will be required to pre-register for classes. Our class sizes are greatly impacted by social distancing; therefore, we are limiting attendance to in-person classes to one per day. This will allow for more community members to participate in live classes. Students may attend multiple Outdoor and Live Streamed classes with membership, class cards, or single class purchases.
Please note these major changes to registration and cancellation policies: In-person classes may be registered for up to class start time based on availability. Students can cancel their registration up to 12 hours prior to class start time without penalty. Cancellations within a 12-hour window of class start time will be considered a “Late Cancellation” and the class will be deducted from the students account. All 108 members and Newcomers Special participants with a “Late Cancellation” will be charged a $14 fee.
Online classes: We recommend registering for class at least 30 minutes prior to the class start time in order to receive your link to the virtual studio. All virtual classes take place on the Zoom platform. Please be sure to download the latest version of Zoom and set up for class at least 10 minutes before the class starts in order to leave time for troubleshooting any unexpected technology issues. Need more information on the Live Virtual Studio? Learn more HERE.
Waivers: All members are required to view and accept the Reopening Waiver before your first class. This can be obtained at the Front Desk.
Community Responsibility: If you or anyone that you have been in contact with in the past 14 days is experiencing the following symptoms, we ask that you stay home and refrain from attending live classes for two weeks or until a negative Covid-19 test result is obtained: fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, muscle or body aches, headaches, loss of taste or smell, nausea, or congestion.
